Board shall be $______ per month paid in advance.  The pro-rated rate will be $______ a day.


                 o Board includes shelter with run, hay, water, weekly stall cleaning


                 o Board includes shelter with run, private pasture/hay, water, weekly stall cleaning.


Full payment for board is due by the 5th of each month.  If payment is made between the 6th and the 10th of the month, a $10 late fee will be applied.  If payment is made after the 10th, a $20 late fee will be applied. Check are payable to Sandra Stredwick.


The quoted sum for board is flexible and may be raised at the stable owner’s discretion with a 30-day notice to the horse boarder(s).


A 10-day notice shall be given if either the stable owner or the horse boarder(s) wish to terminate the board agreement.
If damage to the property occurs above and beyond reasonable “wear and tear” because of the horse or horse boarder(s) or their guests, then payment for the materials and repair labor will be paid to the property owner.  Examples of damage needing reimbursement but not limited to would be breaking of boards or posts, boards that are heavily chewed, damage to gates, damage to irrigation sprinklers.
If the horse is in need of veterinary attention, it is the horse boarder’s responsibility to contact the veterinarian and to follow through with the necessary veterinary care of the horse. We (the property owners) will call you if we see injury first.


It is the responsibility of the horse boarder(s) to provide each of the following for the horse:


• Regular Ferrier care (8 to 12 week intervals)


• Vaccinate for West Nile, Tetanus, Eastern & Western Equine Encephalomyelitis, Influenza and Rhinopheumonitis and worming no later than May 1 of each year.


• Bug spray during the fly season.


Dogs and other pets belonging to the horse boarder(s) are not to be brought to the property.
Smoking or drinking alcohol is not allowed on the property.


The facilities on the property (arena, round pen, stalls, pasture, etc.) are for use of the boarder(s)’ boarded horses only.


All guests must sign a liability release form.  The boarder must deliver the signed guest form to Sandra Stredwick before guests are allowed at the stable.


Boarders agree to use each part of the facilities according to its purpose:


Pasture is for grazing—no lounging, riding, or exercising your animal. Only the property owners are allowed to put a horse into the timeshare pasture.


Arena is for flat work riding. Lounging and leading at halter are secondary uses.  No turnouts allowed.
Round pen is for lounging, walk/trot riding, or leading at halter. No turnouts allowed.
No boarder can use John and Sandra Stredwick’s stable facilities for the purpose of making money. (i.e., riding lessons, training, etc.)


During floods/ ice jams the horse boarders are responsible to take their own horse and personal tack off the property until the weather event has past and it is safe for the boarded horse to return.

Liability Release


1. Stredwick Stables allows a few people to board their horses on our property so that they can have high quality care for their horse and to provide a private place for them to ride. However, horses can be unpredictable and incidents/accidents can and usually do occur. Horses, by their inherent nature present a risk of injury, harm or death. WA State law RCW 4.24.540 applies to Stredwick Stables and all horse facilities.

 • any theft, injury, illness, disease or death by any means to the horse, the horse owner(s), or any person or animal brought to the property by boarder.

• any injury including death or damage to any property should the horse escape from thw property.


• Loss or theft of any personal items such as but not limited to saddles, bridles, halters, lead ropes, grooming equipment.  Leaving these items on the property is at your own risk.


2. The property owner does not carry insurance to cover any of the items
mentioned in #1.  The boarder releases the property owner from all
risks relating to boarding of the horse.


3.      The boarder and any guest(s), under 18, are required and agree to wear
an approved riding helmet when on horseback AT ALL TIMES.


4.       Boarders must have all guests sign a one-time “liability release” and give to Sandra Stredwick before the guest arrives at the stables. 


5.       Boarders are responsible for all damage, injury, or death caused by their guest(s).


As the owner(s) of the horse, I/we have read, understand and agree to follow the “Horse Boarding Agreement” and “Liability Release”.
